If the WIFI one is on is the ucdenver.edu WIFI or it is directly plugged into the ucdenver.edu network


  1. Confirm that the computer is getting a connection to the internet by checking if you can access https://outlook.office.com/mail/ and log in, if you cannot then the problem is more about the internet than the VPN. Come back to this guide when a solution to that has been fixed.
  2. Confirm you have the correct name for the computer
  3. Confirm that computer you are currently trying to connect to is turned on if you can access it yourself
  4. When done checking if the steps above are done as stated, then contact IT with the problem.


If WIFI is not the ucdenver.edu or directly plugged into the ucdenver.edu network

  2. Make sure you connect to the Global Protect VPN. The address to have entered for Global Protect is amc-vpn.ucdenver.edu
  3. When done checking if the steps above are done as stated, then contact IT with the problem.
