-Open the database (Purchasing, FolderTract, etc) the usual way.


-Make sure the ribbon (see blue rectangle below) is visible. If not do Ctrl

F1 to make it visible.


-Click File (yellow square below)



-Here click “Options” (see yellow rectangle below):

-Once this screen is up, click “Trust Center” option (see red rectangle below):


-The above option will take you to this screen. Click “Trust Center Settings…” (red rectangle below):

-Which will bring you to this screen. Click “Trusted Locations” option (see red rectangle):


-Next, first step is to check on “Allow Trusted Locations on my network (not recommended)” below (see green square). Make sure there is a check mark afterwards. Then click “Add new location…” (see red rectangle):


-The above steps will make this screen come up. Two things to do here. First, enter the path to the database (for Purchasing enter the path below exactly, see red rectangle). Then check on the “Subfolders of this location are also trusted”. See green box below:

-Afterwards close all pop-up windows and then close the database.

-Re-open the database and, if done correctly, the pink security warning should be off.
